5 Tips to Help You Organize Your Keys

Have you accumulated more keys over the years than you know what to do with? If so, you’re not alone. Between apartments, houses, and various locks, many people soon find themselves with a heavy key ring. So, Unlock Indy is giving you five tips to help you organize your keys and never lose them again!

1. Know What Each Key Does

When you have a lot of keys, it can be hard to remember what each one is for. To make it easier to organize your keys, make a list of what each key opens and post it near your keys. This will help you avoid spending time trying to figure out which key goes where.

2. Use a Key Holder

A key holder is a great way to keep your keys organized and easy to find. There are many different types available, so find one that best suits your needs. Some key holders have compartments for each key, while others hang them on a wall or hook.

3. Create a System

If you're having a hard time keeping track of your keys, create a system. For example, you could color code your keys according to their use. This will help you quickly grab the right set of keys when you need them.

4. Store Them in an Easily Accessible Place

If you want to organize your keys efficiently, store them in an easily accessible place so you can grab them quickly when you need them. Try to avoid hiding them away in a drawer or closet, as this will only add to the amount of time it takes you to find them.

5. Get a Keyless Entry System

If you're constantly losing your car keys, consider getting a keyless entry system. This device allows you to unlock your car using a remote control or a special card. This will save you time and aggravation when looking for your car keys.
